Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Order Bogus Raid on Home of Rebekah Jones

Looks like guns drawn to me.

You can tell pretty much which governors are friends with Donald Trump just by their actions and attitudes. They share some similar traits; lying, cooking the numbers, vindictiveness, plotting and scheming, and not giving a rat’s rump about their constituents. I’m sure there’s lot more characteristics out there, but these come first in mind to me. Ron DeSantis is one Trump’s pals and it shows.

I remember watching Rebekah Jones on Chris Cuomo’s Prime Time show back in the spring I believe - might had been early summer. She spoke of how the State of Florida fired her because they asked her to make the coronavirus numbers look better than what they actual were. She refused to comply with their scam. Jones actually designed the Florida’s State Department of Health coronavirus dashboard before they terminated her employment.

When Jones refused their request to misrepresent the data, they railroaded her with the lame excuse she had been insubordinate. At least that was in accordance to DeSantis’ spokesperson. Well, if being insubordinate means refusing to make up numbers so coronavirus cases and deaths look lower than they actually were, than I guess the definition of insubordination has changed.

Not too many people in this world would take a stand as brave as Rebekah Jones. DeSantis ordered a raid on her home as if she had federal warrants out for her arrest and was on the FBI top wanted list. It was an appalling and repugnant display of vindictiveness, but most important, it reflects an ongoing effort to conceal the truth from residents in the state of Florida.

A group of Florida law enforcement agents entered the home of Rebekah Jones, with her husband and children inside. They had their weapons drawn as shown in several photos, although their agents are denying it. Yep, that’s right – pistols and rifle drawn. What was the crime that warranted such artillery from the liking of state law enforcement agents? It was a chat message imploring others to tell the truth and protect the people in Florida. The complaint maintained there was an “unauthorized message” sent in the state’s communication system.

The raid was carried out at 8:30 a.m., with the agents confiscating Jone’s computer and phone. I’m not sure if they took more, it sort of sounds that way, but I can’t affirm this is the case. They not only pointed a gun at her, but her two children as well. This is deplorable and inexcusable! It does not even seem like America is even America anymore.  But hold on - what’s really pathetic is the words in the message that resulted in such dramatic action by law enforcement to where they felt the need to have their guns drawn.

Below is the message that was sent on the states message board:

"It's time to speak up before another 17,000 people are dead,""You know this is wrong. You don't have to be a part of this. Be a hero. Speak out before it's too late."

You can clearly see why law enforcement came. This has to be one of the most threatening messages I have ever read. I mean, what kind of ruthless  criminal Rebekah Jones must be. That is pretty audacious; instead of wanting to kill 17,000 more Floridians, the culprit was trying to save their lives. Isn’t that terrible? The unmitigated gall for someone to ask people to speak out against phony numbers that minimized how deadly the coronavirus impact on Florida is outrageous. Jones is a very dangerous individual – don’t you think?

Yeah, I can see why the agents came in guns drawn. I mean you compare that to domestic violence, rape, murder, robbery – those things pale in comparison to the statement made. They should have issued an APB of whoever made such a malicious, reprehensible statement. Here it is again. "It's time to speak up before another 17,000 people are dead,""You know this is wrong. You don't have to be a part of this. Be a hero. Speak out before it's too late." Outrageous!

Jones stated DeSantis only is worried about how the coronavirus impact on him politically, and could care less about curtailing the coronavirus and the loss of lives in Florida.. Of course, that has been readily apparent all along as he refuses to even issue a mask mandate for a state with such catastrophic numbers. DeSantis also hosted numerous rallies for Trump; making sure plenty of Floridians caught Covid-19 and died from it. He, like Donald Trump does not have a moral compass. No wonder why Trump and DeSantis are such great friends.

I don’t think Florida is alone is fudging the numbers. I imagine there are likely a few other states fudging their coronavirus counts. Jones stated, “They took my phone and the computer I use every day to post the case numbers in Florida, and school cases for the entire country."They took evidence of corruption at the state level. They claimed it was about a security breach. This was DeSantis. He sent the gestapo."

The Florida Department of Health claimed their system had been hacked into; however, Jones claims it was not her. The search warranted stated "that a person illegally hacked into their emergency alert system." The court document stated the message was sent to a state planning group, where everyone shared the same user name and password. Even if Jones sent the message to a group she once was a part of; it does not warrant the over the top raid carried out at her home.

After Rebekah Jones stopped working for the Florida State Department of Health, she created her own coronavirus dashboard. Like I said, she was responsible for the state’s dashboard before she was fired. I find it refreshing to see someone who cares enough about others on her own without getting paid, by endeavoring to bring the truth to people in order to save lives.

Sarasota Florida attorney Ron Filipkowski resigned in protest over how Rebekah Jones’ home was raided by agents. However, he had been troubled even before the incident and stated the following in his resignation letter, “I have been increasingly alarmed by the Governor’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.” “I believe the policy of this state towards covid is reckless and irresponsible.”  Governor Ron DeSantis actually appointed Filipkowski to the12th Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.

Even if Jones had sent the message, Filipkowski said, “What’s the crime here? The crime is her sending an email telling people to tell the truth?”

I have a great deal of respect for both him and Jones. The raid has DeSantis signature all over it, and he has well earned a spot in the Hall of Shame. But he earned that with his dismal response towards the coronavirus from the very beginning.

You would have though at least one other person in the Florida Department of Health would had said, “No this is not right – lives are being lost.”  They will have to live with their choice to do nothing. My hat’s off to Rebekah Jones for taking a stand and speaking the truth.
