My Public Awaits Me: Trump Continues to Fuel Election Skepticism

Yesterday, Donald Trump’s fragile ego was assuaged by the thousands of Trump supporters marching in Washington D.C. He was starting to atrophy without the accolades from his adoring fans, and once again life was breathed back into him. He felt invigorated and decided to drive by and wave at his supporters – he now could save face from the beating he took in the election. He knew the crowd would cheer just to catch a glimpse at him passing by.

I have to admit, it was actually a pretty large crowd – more than what I would have ever thought. The rally was dubbed under various names; "Stop the Steal," "March for Trump" and "Million MAGA March." But the real tragedy is all of these people have been deceived by Donald Trump’s lies about the election. And the crowd size was indicative of a country deceived and well divided. What concerns me most of all, it clearly conveys the erosion of faith in our democracy and that is a very dangerous place for America to be in.

Republican officials in tightly contested races like Georgia and Pennsylvania declared there was absolutely no voter fraud. It is despicable at best for a president of the United States to deliberately undermine our election system solely to benefit himself. The consequences of Trump casting doubt on our democratic processes extend far beyond this particular election. Even election officials appointed by Trump have came out and verified the election was secure and there was no voter fraud found.

Incidentally, I was not surprise to discover Roger Stone was behind the “Stop the Steal” campaign, which actually originated before the 2016 election. Its so-called erroneous premise was based on the idea if the election between Trump and Hilary Clinton was close, the Democrats would try to steal it away from him. Stone perpetrated the notion that a sort of Republican coup d'état, he called the “Bush-Cruz-Kasich-Romney-Ryan-McConnell faction" would try to prevent Donald Trump from being nominated. Sigh…seriously?

On November 5, a Facebook group called Stop the Steal garnered thousand upon thousand followers in just one day; the next day Facebook had to shut it down for its blatant falsehoods and inflammatory rhetoric. Steve Bannon started his own Facebook group called “Own the Vote” which contained torrents of lies and deception similar to the Stop the Steal account. Ultimately between both Bannon and Stone, they achieved over 2.5 million followers.

Trump’s claims about the election being fraudulent actually have brought to the front two new so-called media outlets; Newsmax and One America News. Both organizations are fake news organizations that claim Trump won the election. I’m sorry, but I take special satisfaction over the idea they may take some of the pie away from Fox News. Getting a little crowded - hey there Fox?  The name One America News invokes images of the anti-Christ and the Apocalypse…

Donald Trump “rigged election” mantra has brought out for a lack of better word, the crazies out in droves. And you have people who are just plain gullible to the vitriol that spews out of his mouth. It is amazing how one man can have an impact on one nation; either for the better or the worse. This whole thing is based out of white nationalism and in a distant way is reminiscent to the early rise of Hitler. Fortunately, Trump lost the election; but as he continues to gestate inside the White House, he continues to polarize this country.

Donald Trump has no qualms about destroying our democracy - he is quite content in punishing our entire nation all at once. I have no doubt from a psychological perspective he is thinking “I’m going show you America; you didn’t vote for me - screw you.” Never mind the fact the election was not a landslide by any means, however, Biden has exceeded 6 million votes in the popular vote.

Trump does not care about screwing over those who voted for him - actually he has never cared about them period. He is just that vindictive. He has no problem painting America with a broad brush to exact his revenge, only to deem Trump loyalists as simply getting in the way.

As I predicted in an article I wrote last week, there were a few violent acts during the Washington march. There actually were fewer incidents than I would have thought, but what is disconcerting to me is I know there is more to follow. Actor John Voight claimed Trump losing the election was tantamount to the civil war. I think there is an element of truth to that, but not for the reason he states.

What Trump has done is polarized our nation, and now there are two clear opposing sides. The election was not rigged; Trump knows it, the Republican Senate knows it, and Trump appointees over governmental elections know it. But the damage has been done, and I fear it is more catastrophic than what we actually realize. Shame on the Republican Senate who are going along with Trump’s absurd claims at the expense of all Americans.

Court after court has dismissed lawsuits by Trump’s attorneys. Now Trump has turned over all the cases over to Rudolph Giuliani. I would had thought Giuliani would be too busy with his “chr*m” to handle such a workload. He is not ashamed to show his face after his Borat movie debut, but then again, the Trump bar is quite low. I do not believe Giuliani would be an asset in Trump’s defense (even before he got caught with his hands in his pants), and I can’t help but wonder, it may be sign of resignation on Trump’s part.

A side note here: if you are a politician with ongoing political aspirations, you better be careful with who you have sexual interaction with – it can come back to haunt you. You may think no one will ever find out, but you never know who is watching - or who may spill the beans.

And so, where was I? Oh, now it has been over a week and Trump has not conceded. In fact, Donald Trump will never concede. I do not know what is really going to happen in the end, because the Trump administration is so obstinate and at times unpredictable. Donald Trump is quite proficient as a liar, and he is good at plotting and masterminding schemes. He is quite adept in placing the right people into positions so they can do his dirty work. I give him that.

Donald Trump’s contribution to America has been to divide this country in half – that will be his legacy. It is troubling to me so many people have bought into his lies; even to the extent of disregarding the proof or facts. I don’t know what is going to happen in the near future, but I don’t feel particularly good about it. I am thankful Joe Biden won the election, but I feel very uneasy regarding the road Trump and his supporters are going to take. Time will tell.

Update 12-12-20  Oklahoma 3,983 new cases 35 deaths
Update 12-13-20  Oklahoma 4,332 new cases 22 deaths

What is Governor Kevin Stitt doing? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Shame on Kevin Stitt

Update: Trump clone Kevin Stitt on NBC Nightly News yesterday, touted how he and his family and friends are going to carry on Thanksgiving like they always have. A message for Governor Stitt: Don’t forget to wash the blood off your hands before you commence eating.

This is a slight departure from what I typically write about, but I think it is important because it exemplifies why the United States need a national strategy to combat the coronavirus. I have family in Oklahoma. The governor of Oklahoma, Kevin Stitt has always reminded me quite frankly of Donald Trump. For one thing, his involvement in somewhat shady business deals in Georgia, among other states, came out during the course of his campaign efforts in 2018.

Stitt reminds me of Donald Trump so much that I dare say if Trump could become pregnant, he would had given birth to this guy. Both are cutthroat business men, narcissist, and are devoid of compassion. Both refuse to do anything to mitigate the coronavirus, and like Trump, Kevin Stitt has made efforts to downplay its’ significance in Oklahoma.

That it is until now. Oh, let me disabuse you of notion that Governor Stitt is doing anything to mitigate the coronavirus – it is just he can no longer hide the fact it is raging throughout Oklahoma like a grass fire. It is no longer possible to hide the poor numbers from the national media. Scientist on the White House Coronavirus Task Force declared yesterday, that Oklahoma needs to do something immediately to curtail the virus.

But what does Kevin Stitt do? In complete hypocrisy he comes out and said he expects Oklahomans to do the right thing. That’s it? How about Stitt doing the right thing instead for a change? It would be one thing if Stitt was proactive in addressing the coronavirus or made a mistake by at least taking an effort to combat it. He won't do anything - nothing.

He refuses to issue a mask ordinance, but says all Oklahomans should wear a mask. He opened Oklahoma back up in April at the same time Brian Kemp reopened Georgia, and while the state numbers were increasing. There are not any mandates he has implemented to curtail the coronavirus in Oklahoma since then. There are no bans on gatherings or anything whatsoever.

On November 7, Joe Biden was elected president and that dominated the news and rightfully so. But did you know on that day, Oklahoma reported 4,507 new cases of Covid-19? One day – 4,507 cases. In the past week numbers have been in the 2,000’s there, a few times slightly under 2,000.  Today there are 2,357 new cases. Oklahomans are dying; 144 in the past 11 days. The state of Oklahoma has a population little less than 4 million people.

We will never be able to counter the coronavirus without a nationwide strategy. The coronavirus does not respect geographic regions; it thrives on neighboring states. Governors like Kevin Stitt, Ron DeSantis, Brian Kemp, will never do the right thing. What would make Stitt think people in Oklahoma will do the right thing now, when they have not before? How can he ask them to do the right thing, when his own lack of response has continuously conveyed the virus is not a big deal? His disposition is exactly the same as Donald Trump.

This is the typical stance among most Republican governors across the United States. I can think of only two exceptions among them; Governor Larry Hogan of Maryland, and Governor Mike DeWine of Ohio. They have at least made efforts to mitigate the virus. Governors like DeSantis and Kemp, after having a better grasp of the nature of the coronavirus eight months in, still are not taking real action towards the virus. This is leading to unnecessary loss of lives.

It has been eight months since Covid-19 reached America, and unfortunately, most people have shown they are not willing to do the right thing. I hate saying it, but it is the truth. Governor Andrew Cuomo exemplifies the right approach towards the coronavirus; a mix of scientific data, ordinances and appealing to the public to help mitigate the virus.

Donald Trump and most Republican governors have made wearing masks and ordinances as if it is some kind of political affront to one’s rights. What gives any person the right to kill someone else? It is an asinine concept that has cost countless lives. It will also be part of Donald Trump’s legacy as president, and his protégé, Governor Kevin Stitt.

Donald Trump Personifies the Definition of a Poor Loser

Dear Donald Trump,

You are making a fool out of yourself in the front of the whole world. You have redefine the definition of a "bad/poor loser" to an entirely new level. America has spoken - "We don't want you." Most Americans do not want you as our president; at least 5 million more of us, as oppose to those who voted for you. You have divided this country to its' very core. You are making a spectacle out of yourself, and it will be your legacy in the annuals of history.

For the first time in America following any presidential election, people actually came out and danced in the streets when they found out Joe Biden had won. It was reminiscent of celebrations when people rejoice over a fallen dictator in other countries. Well, it was no different here. Capisce? If that was not humiliating enough, people from all over the world took the streets and celebrated your defeat.

The impotent Republican Senate and the impish William Barr will continue to encourage you, but they really don't give a rat's rump about you. They are cowards and fear you. You gave them a free ride the past four years, and enabled them to enrich themselves and their political power. That is their trade off.

They only wanted you in power, because they see you as being too ignorant to understand the mechanisms of government. It has been carte blanche for them for 4 years in accomplishing what they want done. For a law and order president, many people you appointed are facing or have faced federal charges. Roger Stone, Paul Manafort, and Steven Bannon to name a few. Rudolph Giuliani sprawled on the hotel bed like Humpty Dumpty needs to put down his "chr*m" and call it a day.

All other nations across Earth can now see just how corrupt you, the Republican Senate, and William Barr really are. Stop your temper tantrum and grow up and be a man. Instead of cheating and trying to incite more division and violence among the American people, do some damage control as being the worse president in American history. Accept you defeat, instead of trying to ram yourself down America's throat. Grow up and move on. Okay, you're incapable of growing up, but please - for the sake of this nation, just move on.

Donald Trump Refusal to Accept Defeat Will Eventually Incite Violence

What is the shared and favorite motto among the four morally bankrupt politicians in the picture above? It is “Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven." You guys make John Milton and Satan so proud!

Donald Trump, Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, and Mitch McConnell are blatantly disregarding the election process, and the right for our votes to count. Americans have the right to elect any given person into a political office. Their poor loser stance is a degradation of our Constitutional process, and is endemic of the mutated life form that has emerged out of the Republican Senate.

It is unconscionable. For all of the inevitable acts of violence that is going to result from their plans, they, like Donald Trump, should be charged as instigators and accessories to the crimes that will no doubt spawn from their actions.

Every one of the aforementioned are malicious and depraved without question. Enough is enough. This is insane and it is evil to drag the American people through this in the midst of a deadly pandemic with numbers that are now the highest they even been. But these four could care less about that; they will do whatever it takes for their dictator to remain in power. This is tyranny, America – this is what a dictatorship looks and sounds like. If you allow this happen, our democracy will become extinct.

Donald Trump started claiming fraud about the 2020 election as soon as he saw his numbers dropping in the polls. Trump knew because of his failed coronavirus response (more like non-response), he was vulnerable, and became increasingly uneasy about winning the election.

Remember he claimed baseless fraud in 2016 until the day he won the election. He had the audacity to turn around and say, “I guess it was not fraud after all.” He had no evidence of fraud then, and he has none now. There is no indication whatsoever there has been fraud in this election, and the three malevolent senators named above and Donald Trump knows it.

By their defiance and refusal to accept and respect the way America has voted; Cruz, Graham, and McConnell are clearly indicating they support an autocratic nation. They are throwing democracy out of the window, knowing full well there is absolutely no reason or evidence to suspect voter fraud.

I personally feel all of them should be charged with obstruction of justice, because they are deliberately trying to stymie American votes. Of course, this won’t happen until Biden takes office, because William Barr will aid and abet Trump & Company schemes in the meantime. It is Trump, Cruz, Graham, and McConnell aiding and abetting fraud at the hands of Donald Trump.

I don’t think there is any other example that clearly conveys how little Donald Trump cares about this country. He never did and he never will – he only cares about himself. His pathetic, vile foot soldiers, Cruz, Graham, and McConnell are as morally bankrupt as he, and they will do anything to please their “boss.”

They are spineless men; devoid of any backbone. Ted Cruz did not even defend his own wife when Donald Trump called her “ugly.” It would seem a man can’t be more castrated than that. As a matter of fact, they are not men – they are Donald Trump’s foot soldiers. They belong to him in whatever fashion he sees fit.

Donald Trump has already polarized our country to the point I believe it may be beyond repair. He has set race relations back to the pre Civil Rights Era as far as prejudice and hate goes. He has blood on his hands for over a quarter million people, and Americans will keep dying in droves until the day he leaves office.

Ted Cruz, Lindsey Graham, and Mitch McConnell are fine with the deaths of so many Americans; their only concern is keeping their corrupt king in power. They know full well that Trump's contesting this election is going to enrage his base, and spur them towards violence. That is exactly what Trump wants, and he could care less who lives and dies. It has now become obvious that McConnell, Graham, and Cruz can care less too. Donald Trump would be nowhere without their help – they are his kept men.

It Feels Like Christmas Day! Joe Biden Wins the Election!

There is finally a ray of hope on the horizon. Donald Trump has been defeated by Joe Biden; despite his corrupt efforts to keep it from happening. All of Trump's bogus attempts were done at the expense of the American people.  In the annuals of history he will go down as the as the most shameless, despicable, and reprehensible president in American. The past four years has been very dark for America, and Donald Trump has nearly brought our nation to brink of destruction.

I can’t think of a better man to bring America back together than Joe Biden. He has always been willing to work with both parties; although he is going to find the Republican Senate has mutated into an unrecognizable life form. Sadly, I dare say Joe Biden is going to find a corrupt Republican Senate led by Mitch McConnell that considers itself beyond reproach and scrutiny. President Elect Biden has his work cut out for him.

Donald Trump has already stated he will file numerous lawsuits with no merit contesting the election results. Trump has redefined poor looser to a whole new level. His desperate and needy attempts to undermine the election will go down in history as shameless byword. In all of my lifetime, I have never witnessed such a pathetic display of manipulation and corruption in any presidential election. Every American today should be outraged over the Trump administration efforts to render our votes null and void. It is very unlikely they will succeed, but there is no low the Trump Administration will not resort to.

But today is a day of celebration! It is a day to hope once again that our democracy has prevailed - and will survive. It is a day to acknowledge that good still can prevail over evil. It is day to finally hope America will soon be provided with the resources and leadership we need to address the coronavirus pandemic on a national level. It is a day to begin repairing the deep racial animus and divisions among the American people resulting from Donald Trump’s deliberate use of hate rhetoric.

It feels reminiscent of Christmas Day to me, and I keep thinking of the song I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. The last two verses are my favorite; it laments of the hatred in this world, but reminds us there is a God we often forget is watching. I know America has a long way to go in repairing the hate birthed out of the Trump administration - but once again, there is hope.

Trump Rallies Responsible for 30,000 COVID Cases & 700 Deaths

One thing Donald Trump can say came out of his presidency is an unprecedented number of coronavirus cases and deaths that originated out of his campaign rallies.  A recent study published out of Stanford University found that Trump rallies combined resulted in over 30,000 Covid-19 cases and 700 deaths. Yet the crowds naive and ignorant continue to worship this man who could not care one iota about getting them sick or worse - spawning their deaths.

Herman Cain (who did not wear a mask) learned the hard way when he attended the Tulsa rally – he died from Covid 19. That just account for one death – there are 699 more. These are not just numbers; these are real people that meant something to their love ones. Donald Trump does not care about the loss of life from the coronavirus – he only cares about winning the election. I can promise you this – Donald Trump has not shed a tear over any given death. It means nothing to him.

The study looked at rallies starting from June 20, 2020 until September 22, 2020. Data was examined post four weeks out from the date of the rally. Here is a link to the study in case you’re interested (PDF).

The Rock Cries Out to Us Today - Maya Angelou

This poem by Maya Angelou is like a metaphor of the situation we are facing in America today with the upcoming election. I want to have hope for a better future and know our democracy will survive.  But in order for that to happen, it requires everyone us to act.

The Rock Cries Out to Us Today

A Rock, A River, A Tree

Hosts to species long since departed,

Marked the mastodon.

The dinosaur, who left dry tokens

Of their sojourn here

On our planet floor,

Any broad alarm of their hastening doom

Is lost in the gloom of dust and ages.

But today, the Rock cries out to us, clearly, forcefully,

Come, you may stand upon my

Back and face your distant destiny,

But seek no haven in my shadow.

I will give you no more hiding place down here.

You, created only a little lower than

The angels, have crouched too long in

The bruising darkness,

Have lain too long

Face down in ignorance.

Your mouths spilling words

Armed for slaughter.

The Rock cries out today, you may stand on me,

But do not hide your face.

Across the wall of the world,

A River sings a beautiful song,

Come rest here by my side.

Each of you a bordered country,

Delicate and strangely made proud,

Yet thrusting perpetually under siege.

Your armed struggles for profit

Have left collars of waste upon

My shore, currents of debris upon my breast.

Yet, today I call you to my riverside,

If you will study war no more.

Come,

Clad in peace and I will sing the songs

The Creator gave to me when I and the

Tree and the stone were one.

Before cynicism was a bloody sear across your

Brow and when you yet knew you still

Knew nothing.

The River sings and sings on.

There is a true yearning to respond to

The singing River and the wise Rock.

So say the Asian, the Hispanic, the Jew

The African and Native American, the Sioux,

The Catholic, the Muslim, the French, the Greek

The Irish, the Rabbi, the Priest, the Sheikh,

The Gay, the Straight, the Preacher,

The privileged, the homeless, the Teacher.

They hear.

They all hear

The speaking of the Tree.

Today, the first and last of every Tree

Speaks to humankind.

Come to me, here beside the River.

Plant yourself beside me, here beside the River.

Each of you, descendant of some passed

On traveller, has been paid for.

You, who gave me my first name, you

Pawnee, Apache and Seneca, you

Cherokee Nation, who rested with me, then

Forced on bloody feet, left me to the employment of

Other seekers--desperate for gain,

Starving for gold.

You, the Turk, the Swede, the German, the Scot .

You the Ashanti, the Yoruba, the Kru, bought

Sold, stolen, arriving on a nightmare

Praying for a dream.

Here, root yourselves beside me.

I am the Tree planted by the River,

Which will not be moved.

I, the Rock, I the River, I the Tree

I am yours--your Passages have been paid.

Lift up your faces, you have a piercing need

For this bright morning dawning for you.

History, despite its wrenching pain,

Cannot be unlived, and if faced

With courage, need not be lived again.

Lift up your eyes upon

The day breaking for you.

Give birth again

To the dream.

Women, children, men,

Take it into the palms of your hands.

Mold it into the shape of your most

Private need.

Sculpt it into

The image of your most public self.

Lift up your hearts

Each new hour holds new chances

For new beginnings.

Do not be wedded forever

To fear, yoked eternally

To brutishness.

The horizon leans forward,

Offering you space to place new steps of change.

Here, on the pulse of this fine day

You may have the courage

To look up and out upon me, the

Rock, the River, the Tree, your country.

No less to Midas than the mendicant.

No less to you now than the mastodon then.

Here on the pulse of this new day

You may have the grace to look up and out

And into your sister's eyes, into

Your brother's face, your country

And say simply

Very simply

With hope

Good morning.
